Prospective parents

From first visit to first day.

Here is how joining Train Station works, what it costs, and what to have ready. Almost every family starts the same way: with a visit.

The path

Seven steps, at your pace.

Tours and applications happen online. The rest is a conversation with the office, and there is no rush.

  1. Ask a question

Call the office on school days at 248-668-7035, email mcarter@brightmoorcc.org, or ask the 24/7 AI receptionist at 248-900-2824.

  2. Take a tour

Tours are by appointment on school days, at times that vary with the director’s schedule; the booking page shows what is open. We urge you to bring your child. You will see classes in session, meet the teachers and walk the hallway.

  3. Apply online

The application is completed online through FACTS. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee for every student.

  4. Acceptance

The office confirms your child’s classroom, schedule and start date, depending on space. If the class you want is full, your application places your child in the wait pool, and the office emails you when a spot opens.

  5. Registration

Complete the online enrollment packet and pay the $200 enrollment fee (new families) and the first month’s tuition. Both are due before the first day of school.

  6. Enrollment

Sign the Child Placement Contract and set up your payment agreement with FACTS, either for the term in full or in equal monthly payments.

  7. First day

Orientation details come from the office once your child is enrolled. Then it is a good goodbye at the classroom door, and the journey begins.

What to have ready

The application, the handbook and the fees.

Once your child is accepted, the online enrollment packet arrives through FACTS with the forms the State of Michigan requires, including the Health Appraisal Form your doctor completes. A child may not start until every form is complete and on file.

Good questions

Asked on most tours.

All questions and answers
Does my child need to be potty trained?

Yes, for every class except Toddlers. Little Preschool (30 to 38 months), Preschool Plus, Pre-K and Young Fives are for potty-trained children. Toddlers (18 months to 2½) welcome children who are not yet trained.

Which days and hours can my child attend?

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, for up to nine consecutive hours a day. Choose two, three, four or five days a week. Children are not admitted after 10:00 AM.

Should I bring my child on the tour?

Yes, please. Seeing your child in the classroom is the best part of the visit for everyone.

What if the class I want is full?

Apply anyway: your application places your child in the wait pool, and when a spot opens the office sends an acceptance email with a deadline to respond. If there is no reply within 48 hours, the Program Director calls. Space varies by classroom and by the days you need, so apply early.
