Wholesome and Friendly Environment

Our goal is to provide a safe, wholesome, and friendly environment where children can learn Christ-centered, basic pre-kindergarten skills.

Christian Atmosphere

The Train Station is a ministry provided by Brightmoor Christian Church. It is a Christian based preschool program offered to children who are 18 months to 5 years of age.

Great Staff

The staff members are well-trained and qualified. Our teachers are certified and carefully screened. We exceed state guidelines regarding child/staff ratios. The Train Station provides a wholesome and friendly environment in which children learn social skills in a Christian atmosphere. We want only the best for our children!

Marcella Carter

Marcella Carter

Marcella Carter is a graduate of Rochester University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She is currently enrolled in the Michigan School of Ministry to be a Certified Pastor in the Assemblies of God church.

Mrs. Carter began working for the Train Station in April 2011 as a substitute edu-carer. She has since served as the Elementary Coordinator for after school and summer activities and as a lead teacher for the PreK+/Young Fives classroom.

Marcella and her husband Tim are active members at Brightmoor Christian Church, especially in the Creative Arts department. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law who are all graduates of FRCS/NCA: Jedidiah & Stephanie (2013 & 2014) and Benjamin (2015). She enjoys time with her grandbabies, scrapbooking, roller coasters and camping.

Hannah Bagnell

Hannah Bagnell

Mrs. Hannah started at Train Station in 2014, and has worked on and off since while having her three children; two Novi Christian Academy students and one in the preschool. She moved from Florida to Michigan in 2012 with her husband, and enjoys the four seasons. She is an avid photographer – winning Hour Detroit’s Best of the Best for wedding (1st) and photography (3rd) in 2023. She earned her associate degree from Pensacola State College and studied sign language at Oakland Community College.

Sophany Boyagian

Sophany Boyagian

Mrs. Boyagian has been with the Train Station Preschool since April of 2005. She graduated from Michigan State University where she met her husband of 20 years. They have two daughters, one who is at the Train Station and the other who is enrolled at Novi Christian Academy. They attend The Lakes church in Waterford.

Teresa Brenner

Teresa Brenner

Mrs Brenner started working at the Train Station in 2019 as a teacher assistant. She fell in love with working with the children and sharing God’s love with them. In 2020, she felt God calling her to take early childhood education classes, and in 2022, she became the lead teacher for the Toddler class. Mrs. Brenner and her husband have been married for 35 years and have 3 adult children and a new son-in-law. She loves time with her family, reading, and the outdoors.

Catie Byers

Mrs. Catie has been an assistant teacher at TSP since June of 2022. She has been married to her husband Cody since 2016, and they live in Novi with their two children, Emma and Henry. She has been a nanny as well as a Sunday school teacher and toddler room volunteer at Grace Church in White Lake. She loves working with the sweet toddlers in Mrs. Brenner’s room!

Ms. Beth is new to the Train Station Preschool this school year but has been a long-time member of Brightmoor Christian Church. She has her degree in Early Childhood from William Tyndale College and comes to us with over 25 years of experience.

Sashaly Diegel

Sashaly Diegel

Ms. Sasha has been working at Train Station Preschool since 2022. She been a part of Brightmoor Christian Church for several years and enjoys serving in the nursery with infants to pre-school aged children. She has three daughters with whom she enjoys going to amusement parks, beaches, parks, and bowling, as well as staying home watching movies and ordering pizza after a busy week! She loves pouring God’s word into the lives of the children she teaches, and being a part of the preschool team has been a huge blessing in her life!

Laura Harman

Laura Harman

Mrs. Harman graduated from Franklin Road Christian School in 2015, and now attends Schoolcraft College and is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She started working at the Train Station Preschool in September of 2016, and has been a lead teacher since the 2022-2023 school year. She also has many years of child care experience through babysitting and working in the children’s ministry department at her church.

Ms. Destiny is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and has worked at the Train Station since 2018. She enjoys working as our lead teacher in the transitional classroom. Ms. Destiny has two children, Asher and Ari, who attend Novi Christian Academy, and is an active member of Brightmoor Christian Church.

Brittney Jones

Brittney Jones

Mrs. Brittney grew up in Wixom, and is a graduate of Walled Lake Western. She, her husband, and two children are members of Brightmoor Christian Church, and her children also attend Novi Christian Academy. Brittney loves her role as an assistant teacher, which she has done for Train Station Preschool since 2021, in both the school year program and the summer fun camp for elementary students.

Abigail Martin

Abigail Martin

Miss Abigail is currently enrolled in online college at SAGU (Southwestern Assemblies of God University) as a freshman and is a Creative Arts intern at Brightmoor Christian Church. She especially loves being involved in the yearly Christmas musicals. Abigail has been attending Brightmoor for five years and has been working at Train Station Preschool since fall 2023. She loves kids and hopes to become a theatre/drama teacher someday.

Maybellean Rienbolt

Ms. Maybellean has been an assistant teacher at Train Station since Summer 2022. She is a favorite among her toddler students and imparts love and encouragement to our littlest friends. She serves in many different ministries at Brightmoor Church, and is a joyful, hard-working, and helpful part of all she does.

Verlene Smith

Miss Verlene is currently a senior at Novi Christian Academy. She loves to work with kids and has babysat and nannied for a wonderful family for the last year and a half. She has attended Brightmoor Christian Church since she was five years old. She serves in many areas of Brightmoor including the Brightmoor nursery and Creative Arts. She loves getting to pour the love of Jesus into as many children as she can.

Kristina Stenson

Mrs. Stenson and her husband, Pastor Eric, received a call to serve Timothy Lutheran Church in Livonia in 2010. They have faithfully served their church while raising their 3 children: Sonja (NCA ’23), Joshua, and Mabella (NCA ’30). Mrs. Stenson has taught Sunday School/VBS for all ages for the last decade. Her love of reading led her to develop a Christian book club. Following God’s leading to be a teaching assistant at The Train Station Preschool has been both professionally and personally fulfilling.

Kim Steudle

Kim Steudle

Ms. Kim is originally from Indiana where she had the privilege of nannying for a wonderful family, and working in a preschool and Sunday school in her home church there. In 2012, she moved to Michigan. She’s a mother of 5, ages 6 to 23. She has a heart for education and homeschooled her children for 12 years. She loves photography, being outside and spending time with her children. She feels blessed to be able to work at The Train Station Preschool while attending Brightmoor Church.
